Xiuyu District Municipal Park

Xiuyu District Municipal Park is located in front of the Xiuyu District government office building, at the intersection of Fufeng Road, Fujiang Road, and Fuxi Road, covering a total area of 96,493 square meters. The planned landscape area is 71,491 square meters; the main square area is 18,732 square meters; the water system area is 12,307 square meters; the green space area is 40,452 square meters, with a greening rate of 54.7%. The park features an artificial lake, urban sculptures with local Hutou characteristics, a cultural corridor, sports courts, facilities for the elderly, children’s play areas, leisure bars, and waterside platforms. The municipal park was completed on New Year’s Day 2009, becoming a beautiful highlight of Xiuyu District’s urban development and a great place for recreation, leisure, fitness, and sightseeing.

Before the Spring Festival, the district government also invested in additional night scenery projects. At night, driving into Xiuyu urban area, passing through the Putian-Xiuyu section of Puxiu Road, North Huancheng Road, Aimin West Road, and Fudong-Fuxi Roads, one is greeted by wide, straight urban roads, rows of uniquely designed landscape lighting, and clusters of soaring high-rises, leaving visitors amazed: what was once a coastal town has now transformed into a bustling new urban district.
