Golden Beach is located at the southwestern tip of Meizhou Island, and is the longest, largest, and most enchanting beach on the island. To its north lie vast green forests, to its south stretch endless blue waves, to its east is the famous Sanwan Beach, and to its west is the 3,000-ton passenger ferry terminal to Taiwan. The beach extends 3,000 meters in length and 300–500 meters in width, with a gentle slope of 5% that curves gradually into the sea. It serves as a natural seaside bathing spot and an ideal summer resort and leisure destination.

Travelers from across the country have praised it, saying: “Having traveled thousands of miles along the coast, Meizhou ranks first.” It has also been lauded by British traveler Manton as the “Hawaii of the East.”
