The Former Site of the Hushi Granary-Breaking and Grain-Distribution Struggle is located in Tucheng Natural Village, Beibu Village, Hushi Town, Xiuyu District, Putian City.

In the spring of 1935, rural areas in Putian faced another severe spring famine, and the lives of peasants were extremely difficult. The CPC Putian Central County Committee decided to launch widespread economic struggles among the masses across the county. Zheng Jinzhao, leader of the Putian Workers' and Peasants' Guerrilla Unit, and Political Commissar Pan Tao led the guerrillas to quickly take action in coastal areas. They first mobilized hundreds of local people in Dongjin, Hushi, to struggle against the landlord Zhan Bai, broke open his grain storage, and distributed hundreds of dan (a traditional unit of measure) of grain to the masses. This helped alleviate their living difficulties, brought tangible benefits to the people, and increased their trust in the Party organization and the guerrilla unit. Later, through a series of mass struggles, the revolutionary situation in the rural areas of Putian saw significant development.

The Former Site of the Hushi Granary-Breaking and Grain-Distribution Struggle is the Zhao Family Ancestral Hall, a single-story structure made of stone and wood, consisting of three rooms with a total area of 150 square meters.

Hushi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Putian County. In 1958, the Hushi Commune was established, and in 1984 it was restructured as a town. It is located in the southeastern part of the county, 17 kilometers from the county seat, covering an area of 65 square kilometers with a population of 102,000.
