The former site of the Dongkeng Liaison Station is a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the Dongkeng Liaison Station is located in Dongkeng Natural Village, Lishan Village, Yuetaang Township, Xiuyu District, Putian City.

In September 1930, the Putian General Committee of the Chinese Communist Party decided to secretly relocate the coastal revolutionary base to Dongkeng Village in Zhongmen. Comrades such as Wang Yujie, Su Hua, Chen Jianxin, Huang Guozhang, and Pan Tao were sent to Dongkeng Village successively to carry out party-building work and continue developing the people's guerrilla forces and peasant militias. Kang Mei from Dongkeng Village joined the revolution in 1927 and was responsible for underground liaison work for the Party. When the Party’s activity base moved to Dongkeng, his home became an important transportation and liaison station for the coastal areas of Putian. Leaders of the Putian (Central Fujian) Party organization and guerrilla units often stayed at the Kang Mei residence, with living expenses mostly covered by the Kang family. In February 1932, Kang Mei’s eldest son, Kang Jinshui, joined the guerrilla forces. In 1938, his second son, Kang Guoqiang (formerly known as Kang Jinzhao), also joined the revolutionary movement. In April 1934, Comrade Kang Mei stood out in the revolutionary struggle and was introduced to join the Chinese Communist Party by Chen Jianxin and Wang Peng. The same year, two other comrades, Kang Wuge and Qin Bai, also joined the Party. In May of that year, after the headquarters of the Putian County Committee of the Chinese Communist Party was destroyed by the Nationalist gendarmerie, it was relocated to the Kang Mei home in Dongkeng Village. Kang Mei and his brother Kang Quan were responsible for liaison between the County Committee and various locations. Their footprints covered the entire Zhongmen Peninsula. They often braved wind and rain, endured hunger, and risked their lives to deliver intelligence. They traveled tirelessly for the revolutionary cause, unafraid of bloodshed or sacrifice, until final victory was achieved. The Dongkeng Liaison Station played a significant role during over 20 years of arduous revolutionary struggle. The Kang Mei family and fellow villagers in Dongkeng Village always followed the Party and made silent sacrifices for the revolutionary cause in Central Fujian. A total of 66 villagers participated in revolutionary activities led by the Central Fujian Party organization, including 61 veterans, 5 revolutionary cadres, 9 Party members, and 6 martyrs.

The former site of the Dongkeng Liaison Station is a two-story earthen-wooden structure with three bays, rebuilt in the 1960s, covering an area of approximately 300 square meters.
