The Chihu Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Era: Neolithic Age, Shang and Zhou Dynasties

In July 2003, experts from the Fujian Provincial Archaeological Team conducted a point survey using Luoyang spades in the Maling area of Chihu Village, Chongren Township, and discovered an underground settlement site from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, covering an area of about 1,000 square meters. This discovery further confirms that as early as four to five thousand years ago, ancestors were already living and thriving here. In May 2013, it was approved and announced by the State Council as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Gongqing Village: Located in the northern part of Guangze County, on the banks of the Futun River, the source of the Min River, Gongqing Village is the second largest village in Chongren Township. It is 6 kilometers from the county seat, covers an area of 10 square kilometers, and governs 8 natural villages and 15 villager groups. Currently, there are 410 households with a population of 1,722. The village has a two-committee team of 6 members, 41 Communist Party members, and 46 League members. The main economic sources of the villagers include tobacco, rice, and vegetable cultivation, supplemented by pig and layer duck farming, freshwater fish breeding, medicinal herb planting, and migrant work.
