Golden Paddy Fragrance in Huangwa refers to the picturesque farmland scenery of Huangzhuangwa in the southeastern part of Baodi. Starting in the late 1980s, an extensive project was undertaken to convert nearly 100,000 acres of barren land in Huangzhuangwa into rice paddies, alongside the development of lotus cultivation and fish farming, achieving high-yield and efficient results. The transformed Huangzhuangwa now features emerald-green lotus ponds veiled in mist and boundless expanses of rice fields. In different seasons, you may see thousands of layers of golden rice waves rippling across the fields; or lotus flowers standing tall and graceful on the ponds, with duckweed floating on the surface and fish swimming just beneath; by harvest time, the air is filled with the fragrance of rice, plump lotuses, and fat fish — a scene reminiscent of the Jiangnan region. Not only has agricultural productivity improved, but the area has also become a scenic highlight for Baodi.
