Yichun Jiajing

Yichun Jiajing refers to the Senior Cadres' Activity Center. It is located on the northeast side of Zhufangying Village on Nancheng East Road. The street-facing entrance features a three-bay gatehouse with overhanging eaves on all four sides, open corridors with exposed columns in the front and back, painted and colored designs, an arched roof covered with glazed tiles, and courtyard walls on the east and west sides connected by tiles glazed and plain tubular tiles, giving it a magnificent, golden appearance. The hanging flower gate of the front courtyard connects the east and west rows of halls, all featuring overhanging eaves in the front and back, open corridors with exposed columns, walls built from blue bricks with precisely fitted joints, 1-meter-high zoomorphic ornaments biting down on the 0.67-meter-high main ridge, plain tubular tiles, and 24 seated and running beasts lined up on the bargeboards. The central courtyard's main hall is connected to the side rooms and the opposite wing rooms via painted and colored corridors, designed in imitation of traditional Ming and Qing-style quadrangle dwellings. The rear courtyard consists of a single-story, two-floor building in a classical Chinese architectural style. On the prominent indoor walls within the courtyard, there are continuous painted murals depicting stories from historical novels, such as the “Oath of the Peach Garden” and the “Yang Family Generals,” which are classic and elegant, adding a charming allure to the structures. The interiors and courtyards are furnished with exquisitely styled traditional lamps, creating a serene and beautiful environment.
