The monument stirs reflection refers to the Martyrs' Cemetery. Located to the west of Chaoxia Park and facing north, it covers an area of 27,900 square meters, including a 2,250-square-meter martyrs’ section. Here lie the remains of 186 revolutionary martyrs from various historical periods, including the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Liberation War, and the Counterattack in Self-Defense Against Vietnam. In front of the martyrs' section stands a monument. The monument base has two tiers and is 2.4 meters high in total, built from granite, with stone steps and white marble railings on all four sides. The main body of the monument is made of marble and stands 24.66 meters tall. All four sides are inscribed with calligraphy by veteran proletarian revolutionaries. The front bears the inscription by [Name redacted for standardization] reading “Eternal Glory to Revolutionary Martyrs,” the south side features Li Yunchang’s words “Remember the Martyrs, Inspire the Future Generations,” the east side displays Li Chuli’s writing “People’s Heroes Live Forever,” and the west side shows Zhang Mingyuan’s message “The Noble Spirit of People’s Heroes Lives On.” Standing solemnly before the monument, one cannot help but feel deep reverence for the fallen heroes.
