Baishijiao Ciji Palace

Baishijiao Ciji Palace is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Baishijiao Ciji Palace is located in Baishijiao Village, Jiaomei Town, Longhai City. Originally built in the 20th year of the Shaoxing era during the Southern Song Dynasty under Emperor Gaozong (1150 AD), it is another temple dedicated to Wu Tao, a renowned physician of the Northern Song Dynasty. This three-courtyard palace-style temple covers a total area of 1,300 square meters. The entire structure follows the contour of the mountain, featuring interlocking upturned eaves and a magnificent grandeur. The dragon pillars, bracket sets, and painted gold decorations inside the halls embody the artistic achievements of architecture, painting, sculpture, and calligraphy from various dynasties after the Song, and it has long been honored as the "Forbidden City of Southern Fujian."
