Era: Qing Dynasty

Location: Xi’a Road, Shima Town, Longhai City

Introduction: Built in the 30th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1904), the mansion faces south, covering a total area of about 1,700 square meters, with a built-up area of 666 square meters. It features three courtyards from front to back, three bays in width, and side wings on the east and west. The second courtyard hall is known as “Shuzhi Hall,” while the third courtyard houses a Western-style two-story building called “Kaixin Lou” (Joyful Tower, also known as the Dressing Tower), along with a study, warming room, guest rooms, storage rooms, garden, fish pond, rockery, arched bridge, and monkey cave.

Protective boundary: Extending 20 meters outward from all sides of the building.

In 2009, the Yang Family Mansion of Shima was designated as a seventh-batch provincial-level cultural heritage site by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Shima Town: Located in the urban area of Longhai City, Shima Town governs 13 community neighborhood committees and 4 village committees, with a permanent population of 70,000 and a floating population of nearly 10,000. For ten consecutive years, Shima Town has been awarded the title of Provincial “Civilized Township.” It has also been recognized by the Fujian Provincial Party Committee as an “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization in the Province” and by the Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee as a “Five-Good Township Party Committee.” Its overall strength ranks 476th among the national “Top 1,000 Towns” and 7th among the “Top 10 Towns” in Zhangzhou.
