Dongshan Fan’ah House

Dongshan Fan’ah House is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Dongshan Fan’ah House is located in Dongshan Village, Jiaomei Town, Zhangzhou City, dating back to 1932–1939.

Introduction: Also known as Rui Mao Building, it was built between 1932 and 1939. Oriented from northwest to southeast, it consists of two mountain gates, a front hall, the Rui Mao Building, the Qing Building, and others, covering an area of 550 square meters. The Rui Mao Building is a three-story structure that blends Chinese and Western elements. The first floor has three bays, with red brick columns supporting the front porch and an arched ceiling. The second floor also has three bays. The third floor features an Eight Trigrams pavilion. The ceramic tiles on the walls of the entire building were imported from Southeast Asia, displaying a vibrant array of colors.

In 2013, Dongshan Fan’ah House was designated as part of the eighth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
