These are the desires of city dwellers, and today, they can all be fulfilled here.

Gaozhai Village in Xiazhai Town is a village built on the mountainside at an altitude of 400–600 meters. The villagers have built rows of “Western-style houses” adapted to the undulating terrain and local conditions. Nestled among the vast, emerald-green seas of pomelo trees, they stand out prominently. From a distance, they resemble Tibet’s “Potala Palace.” Especially at night, the winding lights on the hillsides of Gaozhai Village look like a soaring dragon. With pavilions and towers illuminated in brilliance and morning mist drifting softly, it feels like living in a fairyland. In early spring, the golden-white pomelo blossoms bloom in full across the trees. When a gentle breeze blows, waves of fragrant aroma waft through the air, refreshing the mind and lifting the spirit.

After the Mid-Autumn Festival, the rolling hills are covered with golden Guanxi honey pomelos, gleaming brilliantly under the sunlight like dazzling gems scattered across the land. After heavy rain, standing at Gaozhai Village’s viewing platform, you can often see a rainbow arching over the sea of pomelos—it’s truly a breathtaking sight. It’s the peak season for honey pomelos, and visitors can stroll through the pomelo orchards and soak in the joy of harvest.
