Era: Ming to Qing Dynasty

Location: Dayangpo, Jiufeng Town, Pinghe County

Introduction: Also known as the Grand Ancestral Hall of the Zeng Clan’s First Ancestor, it was first built in the Renzi year of the Hongzhi era during the Ming Dynasty (1492), and was renovated during the Ming, Qing, and Republican periods. It faces southwest and is situated to the northeast, featuring a large front courtyard and a screen wall. The main structure consists of two halls with flush gable roofs built using post-and-lintel and beam-raising construction techniques, flanked by wing rooms, and is of a grand scale. The building area covers 450 square meters, with a total site area of approximately 1,490 square meters.

Protected area: 10 meters outward from the front courtyard of the hall, 5 meters beyond the rear flower stand at the back, and 10 meters outward from the eaves drip lines on both sides of the wing rooms.

In 2009, Zhonghu Ancestral Hall was designated by the People’s Government of Fujian Province as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites.
