Huangtian Tulou Cluster

The Huangtian Tulou Cluster is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Huangtian Tulou Cluster is located in Huangtian Village, Jiufeng Town, Pinghe County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Introduction: It consists of five tulou—Yongchun Building, Lianhui Building, Jushun Hall, Longjian Building, and Yanting Building. Their construction spans from the Kangxi era (1662–1722) of the Qing Dynasty through the later Qing period, built jointly by the Zeng clan of Huangtian. The complex covers an area of approximately 14,200 square meters, with a built-up area of about 16,436 square meters. Among them, Yongchun Building is a unit-style round-cornered square building; Lianhui Building and Jushun Hall are unit-style right-angled square buildings; Longjian Building and Yanting Building are unit-style round buildings.

Protection boundary: Each individual structure is protected within an area extending 20 meters outward from its perimeter.

In 2018, the Huangtian Tulou Cluster was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Huangtian Village: Huangtian Village is situated on the southwestern edge of Jiufeng Town, about 1 kilometer from the town center. It enjoys a favorable location and convenient transportation. The village covers an area of 10.3 square kilometers, predominantly consisting of hills and mountains, with 1,753 mu of arable land and 3,415 mu of mountainous terrain. It comprises 19 villager groups, 2 farm groups, 870 households, and a population of 3,568. The village cultivates 2,310 mu of honey pomelo and 320 mu of Baiya Qilan tea.
