Jiufeng Zhaolaitang

Jiufeng Zhaolaitang is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Jiufeng Zhaolaitang is located in Chengxi Village, Jiufeng Town, Pinghe County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Expanded in the 8th year of the Yongzheng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1728), it has undergone several renovations. The structure faces southwest and is oriented from the northeast, consisting of a pond, a gate tower, a front hall, a water passage corridor, and the main hall, covering an area of 1,876 square meters. The front hall is three bays wide and two bays deep, while the main hall is three bays wide and three bays deep, both featuring raised-beam and through-tenon style timber frameworks with flush gable roofs; the courtyard is flanked by water passage corridors that connect the spaces.

In 2013, Jiufeng Zhaolaitang was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: An additional 10 meters beyond the perimeter of the hall.

Chengxi Village: Chengxi Village is situated to the west of Jiufeng Town, a town recognized as one of China’s Historical and Cultural Towns. It borders Chengzhong Village to the east, Fukeng Village to the west and north, and faces Huangtian Village across the Bixi Stream to the south. The Xiuxiu Line and Guanjiu Line run through Chengxi Village, offering convenient transportation. The village consists of six villager groups with a total population of over 1,380. It has mountainous land of over 2,000 mu, arable land of more than 350 mu, and grain-cultivating land of about 200 mu. The mountainous areas are mainly planted with Guanxi honey pomelo and Baiya Qilan tea. There are six villager groups in the village with 37 Party members.
