Longtan Building is a cultural heritage site protected by Fujian Province.

Era: Qing Dynasty

Location: Tianzhong Village, Shuyang Town, Nanjing County

Introduction: The ancestral residence of the Lü family in Shuyang, initially built in the second year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1663). It is a square-shaped earthen building, standing four stories tall with each side measuring 16 meters. Each floor has 16 rooms, and each of the four corners on the fourth floor is equipped with a “watchtower.”

Protected area: Extends 25 meters outward from the building on all sides.

In 2009, Longtan Building was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
