Wang Ancestral Hall – Zhaolai Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Wang Ancestral Hall – Zhaolai Hall is located in Shuimei Village, Jinshan Town, Nanjing County, dating from the Ming to Qing dynasties.

Introduction: It was first built in the fourth year of the Zhengde era of the Ming Dynasty (1509) and renovated during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736–1796). Covering an area of over 1,800 square meters with a construction area of 285 square meters, it consists of a front hall, main hall, inner courtyard, and corridor rooms. Three pairs of stone flagpoles stand on the southwest side of the open plaza in front of the hall, and inside the hall hangs a plaque inscribed with the imperial calligraphy “Zhuoshu Qingbiao” (Outstanding and Exemplary), bestowed in the 22nd year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1593). The front hall and the central and side bays of the main hall feature a mixed post-and-lintel and bracket-arm wooden structure with a gable-and-hip roof. The beams, brackets, and decorative panels are adorned with carvings and painted designs, and the main ridge still retains porcelain figurine carvings from the Qing Dynasty. The affiliated cultural relic, Shuimei Pagoda, is a seven-story, eight-sided solid pagoda built around the same time, standing 8.9 meters tall.

Protected area: Wang Ancestral Hall – 15 meters eastward, 30 meters westward, and 10 meters northward and southward. Shuimei Pagoda – 20 meters outward from the base on all sides.

In 2018, Wang Ancestral Hall – Zhaolai Hall was designated as a ninth-batch provincial-level cultural relic protection unit by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Shuimei Village: Shuimei Village is part of Jinshan Town, Nanjing County, situated in the eastern part of Nanjing County and serving as the southern gateway to Jinshan Town. It borders National Highway 319 and the Xi Creek of the Jiulong River to the east, neighbors Xinnèi Village to the west, adjoins Longshan Town to the south, lies 35 kilometers from the county seat, faces Annhou Village to the north, and is 3 kilometers from the town government seat.

[Village and Residents] The village has 1,400 mu of arable land, 4,500 mu of mountainous land, and covers an area of 2 square kilometers. It has a population of over 1,700, with 476 households and 9 villager groups.
