The Ancient City of Fubi

The Ancient City of Fubi is located more than ten kilometers southeast of Funan County. The eastern edge of the ancient city extends to Lvjiagangtou, the western part covers areas such as Wangqiqicang and Huamenlou. To the north, it borders the southern edge of Guxia at Gangtou, and to the south it reaches villages south of Wangchong, including Yangzhuang, Taozhuang, Yaogzhuang, Luzhai, and Daxuzhuang. Before and after the liberation, ancient relics such as Chu coins, Han dynasty bronze mirrors, pottery, and pottery well shafts were unearthed here. Fubi County was established during the Western Han Dynasty, became a princedom in the Eastern Han Dynasty, was reinstated as a county in the ninth year of the Yongyuan era (97), and was abolished after the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
