The Ancient City of Ying Shui

The Ancient City of Ying Shui, now known as Di Cheng, is located 16 kilometers south of Funan County. It was established as a county in the third year of the Yuanshun era (1322) during the Yuan Dynasty but was abolished in the eleventh year of the Zhizheng era (1351) after being captured by the Red Turban Army led by Liu Futong. The southern gate of the ancient city is situated at the southern end of present-day Di Chengji, beneath the left embankment of the Honghe Flood Diversion Channel.
