The Temple of the City God of Yingzhou Prefecture is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Temple of the City God of Yingzhou Prefecture is located at No. 23 Jianshe Street, Gulou Subdistrict Office, Yingzhou District, Fuyang City, Anhui Province.

The Temple of the City God of Yingzhou Prefecture was first built in the second year of the Hongwu reign during the Ming Dynasty. Currently, three main halls and a rear building (bedchamber hall) with five rooms remain. The central three rooms house the statues of the City God and the City Goddess. There are two representations of the City Goddess—one is the principal consort, and the other is the secondary consort. The easternmost room is the kitchen of the City God, featuring a statue of the Kitchen God, while the westernmost room serves as the storeroom of the City God, with a statue of the Storage God. In the middle are the three main halls, and the front courtyard has twelve east and west corridor rooms, which are the offices of the City God’s subordinate officials. On the 19th day of the fourth lunar month each year, local officials, gentry, and residents gather here to celebrate. The City God Temple, Yingxiang Temple, Fire God Temple, Wenchang Pavilion, and Liu Gong Shrine all belong to the same Taoist system.

The Gulou Subdistrict Office is located in the old city area. During the Song Dynasty, it was known as Shunchang Prefecture; in the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was Yingzhou Prefecture. In 1945, it became Fuyang County Chengguan Town, and in 1958, it was renamed Fuyang City Gulou Subdistrict.

It was later divided into Dayukou and Beiguan communes. In 1979, when the county-level Fuyang City was established, they were merged into the Xiqu District of Fuyang City. After the merger of the county and city in 1992, it was renamed the Gulou District Office of Fuyang City. In February 1996, when the region was upgraded to a prefecture-level city, it was renamed the Gulou Subdistrict Office of Yingzhou District.
