Anhui Art Theatre

Anhui Art Theatre is the proprietary theatre of Anhui Song and Dance Drama Theatre Co., Ltd., located at the intersection of Huangshan Road and Shuguang Road in Hefei. Built in 2011 with investment from the provincial government, the theatre can accommodate approximately 600 spectators, featuring airline-style seating and central air conditioning. It includes one VIP lounge and a front lobby spanning about 500 square meters.

The stage covers an area of 424 square meters. It is equipped with 48 rigging bars for lighting, backdrops, and curtains. There is also a 40-square-meter hydraulic orchestra pit for live band accompaniment.

The theatre has a total of five makeup rooms of various sizes for performers. It also features electronic screens, digital banners, and surrounding signage for clients’ use. The theatre plaza offers parking for approximately 150 vehicles, both above and below ground, providing convenience for audience members attending performances.

The theatre enjoys excellent transportation access, with bus routes 10, 117, 118, 121, and 129 all stopping nearby. Since its opening, the theatre has hosted numerous domestic and international art troupes, large-scale galas, and performances of traditional arts such as Hui Opera, Huangmei Opera, and Sizhou Opera.

Performances such as “Voices of the Ocean” New Zealand Trio, Dutch Chamber Music String Quartet, Mariangela Vacatello’s 2012 China Tour, German Arirang Woodwind Quintet Concert, Russian Pianist Recital, and the dance drama “Huiban” have all received high praise from audiences. The large-scale dance drama “Huiban” achieved notable economic and social success here.
