Laoshan Pagoda

Laoshan Pagoda is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Laoshan Pagoda, located in Zhongmiao Town, Chaohu City, is also known as Wenfeng Pagoda or Wanghu Pagoda. According to historical records such as the "Chaohu Annals," this pagoda was first built during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty. It stands 51 meters tall and has seven stories. The base and body of the pagoda are entirely constructed from blue bricks, and the structure is octagonal in shape, featuring upturned eaves and graceful design. Each level of the pagoda walls is adorned with stone tablets and carvings engraved with ancient poems and reliefs, showcasing exquisite and intricate craftsmanship. Visitors can spiral their way up to the top of the pagoda and enjoy panoramic views of Chaohu Lake through the windows.

On October 7, 2019, Laoshan Pagoda was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Protected area: 20 meters east, south, west, and north of the base of Laoshan Pagoda.

Construction control zone: 10 meters east, south, west, and north beyond the protected area.
