The former residence of Wang Dashe is a cultural tourism attraction.

The former residence of Wang Dashe covers an area of 291 square meters and features a two-story structure with three rooms in the front and back. It is located on the south side of the middle section of Hongcun Street. Wang Dashe served as the Premier of the State Council under the government of Li Yuanhong in the early years of the Republic of China. The entrance porch of his residence is dignified, and the main house is a two-story structure with three rooms facing away from the street, complete with a ceremonial gate that exudes grandeur. The wooden carvings on the beams and lattice doors in the hall are simple, lifelike, and exquisitely crafted, adding to the overall sense of magnificence.

Wang Dashe (1859–1929), courtesy name Botang, was originally from Hongcun in Jilian Town, Yi County, Anhui Province, but was born in Hangzhou. In the 15th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1889), he passed the imperial examination for the position of provincial graduate and was appointed as a compiler in the Grand Secretariat. He was later promoted to reader-in-waiting and then to an official in the Ministry of Revenue. He also entered the Grand Council as a secretary, where he was known for his intelligence and prudence. In the 27th year of Guangxu (1901), when initial discussions on the Boxer Protocol were underway, the Russian Empire demanded special privileges in Shandong and threatened to break off negotiations unless a separate treaty was signed. Hongcun Village: Located in the northeastern part of Yi County, Anhui Province, Hongcun Village covers an area of 19.11 hectares. Established during the Shaoxi era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1131 AD), it has a history of over 800 years. Backed by the mountain ranges of the Huangshan range such as Yangzhanling and Leigang Mountain, the village sits at a relatively high elevation and is known as the "Village in a Chinese Painting."
