The Longchi Bay Scenic Area is located at the source of the Yangzhan River system, adjacent to Hongcun, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It served as a station base along the ancient Yanzhang Ridge post road of the ancient Yi Prefecture. It is recognized as a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site and a National AAA-level tourist attraction. Just 25 kilometers east lies the world-renowned geopark — Huangshan Mountain, 50 kilometers west is the national forest park — Guniujiang, and 20 kilometers south is another UNESCO World Heritage Site — Xidi Village. It is also 25 kilometers from Qiyun Mountain, a sacred site of Taoism in China, 100 kilometers from Jiuhua Mountain, a renowned Buddhist destination, and 60 kilometers from Taihu Lake. From Longchi Bay, visitors can even catch sight of the peaks of Huangshan. The surrounding area boasts beautiful ecological landscapes and unique rural scenery. To the east lie the verdant Muke Bamboo Sea and the colorful Tachuan Scenic Area, while to the north is the Lü Village, home to China’s first wooden carving building complex. It is an important part of the Hongcun tourism region. The Longchi Bay Agrarian Culture Park covers an area of over 260 acres and has been developed into a comprehensive tourism demonstration zone by leveraging the local pastoral landscape, natural water bodies, traditional agriculture, and historical-cultural resources.

The Longchi Bay Agrarian Park focuses on agricultural scenery, farming culture, and the daily life and work of farmers. It is designed with tourists’ sensory experiences — sight, taste, touch, and sound — in mind. In response to market demand, it offers a distinctive rural tourism product that is highly participatory, scenic, experiential, educational, entertaining, and authentic, differentiating itself from the Huizhou cultural sightseeing tours of Hongcun. The park is divided into seven functional zones: the Entrance Introduction Area — Approaching Farming, the Central Reception Area — Enjoying Farming, the Agrarian Culture Exhibition Area — Understanding Farming, the Riverside Leisure Belt — Admiring Farming, the Ecological Pastoral Scenery Area — Delighting in Farming, the Farmhouse Resort Area — Reflecting on Farming, and the Visitor Reception and Service Center. Its thematic slogan is: “The joy of tilling the land, the toil of farming — all found at Longchi Bay.” Upon entering, visitors can observe ancient hydraulic devices such as water wheels lifting water, hulling rice, and grinding flour; they can watch traditional oil presses, tofu workshops, wooden tea-making machines, and looms in action. They can also explore the agro-ecological park to identify various crops, participate in harvesting, and experience farm life firsthand. There are hot springs connected to the Huangshan mountain range, fishing opportunities at the fishing center, playing in the river, releasing fish at the release pond, horseback riding on the riverbank, riding in a traditional horse-drawn carriage, experiencing Huizhou wedding customs, and listening to millennia-old folk songs performed in the local Shexian dialect under the open-air stage. Diners can savor authentic Huizhou cuisine at the waterside restaurant. The scenic area’s dining center can accommodate over 300 guests at once, while the resort center features uniquely styled Huizhou-style single-family courtyard villas, which can host up to 80 guests at a time, or 200 for group events. The central conference reception area can hold small to medium-sized meetings for up to 60 people, and large conferences for up to 300 guests. In short, Longchi Bay offers endless farm fun, immersive rural life, breathtaking pastoral views, and a wealth of agricultural knowledge to discover.

Hongcun Town: Located at the southern foot of Huangshan Mountain, Hongcun Town is just 29 kilometers from the southern gate of the Huangshan Scenic Area and 60 kilometers from Huangshan Airport, offering extremely convenient transportation. It currently administers 21 villages and 142 villager groups, covering an area of 187.1 square kilometers, with a permanent resident population of over 20,000 and a floating population of 5,000. The area features rolling mountains, lush forests and bamboo, meandering streams, and pleasant scenery. It has 14,318 hectares of forest, with a forest coverage rate of 77%.
