Among them, the most renowned "Woodcarving Tower" is a masterpiece of Huizhou-style art, with its exquisitely fine wood carvings and outstanding artistic achievements that are truly breathtaking.

Lü Village is located about 1 kilometer north of Hongcun, making it a great choice to visit after exploring Hongcun.

The ancient residential complex of Lü Village was built by Lu Bangxie, a fourth-rank official from the Qing Dynasty’s Daoguang era. The most famous "Woodcarving Tower" mainly includes residences such as Zhicheng Hall, Sijitang, Sicheng Hall, and the Glass Courtyard. These were meticulously carved over nearly 20 years by two craftsmen hired by the owner at the time, earning it the title "The Finest Woodcarving Building in Huizhou." The Huangmei opera "Women of Huizhou," which received widespread acclaim, was staged using the Woodcarving Tower as its backdrop. In 2002, the renowned actress Siqin Gaowa visited Lü Village while filming "Out of the Blue River" and became an honorary villager of Lü Village. Tickets & Opening Hours
