The Zhicheng Hall in Lucun Village is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

The wooden carved buildings (including Zhicheng Hall) in Lucun Village showcase exceptional carving skills with vivid and lifelike designs, making it virtually a museum of the carving arts. Zhicheng Hall represents the pinnacle of wood carving art and was built during the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty. It is said to have been commissioned by a prominent local family, the Lu family’s Lu Bangxie (also known as “Lu the Millionaire”). The wood carvings alone took 25 years and involved four craftsmen to complete.

Protected area: east to Yangzhan River, south to 3 meters outside the southern edge of Zhicheng Hall, west to the residence of the Lu Xichun household, north to the residence of the Li Songyuan household.

Construction control zone: east to 50 meters outside the eastern edge of Zhicheng Hall, south to 50 meters outside the southern edge of Zhicheng Hall, west to 50 meters outside the western edge of Zhicheng Hall, north to 50 meters outside the northern edge of Zhicheng Hall.
