It is just over 40 kilometers from the Huangshan Scenic Area and serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of Yi County. The town governs 25 village committees and 3 community residential committees, with a total population of 45,000, including 41,000 permanent residents and 4,000 floating residents. It covers an area of 120 square kilometers.
