Leshu Hall is located right in the center of the northern shore of Yuezhao Pond. It is the ancestral temple of the Wang family, built in the early 15th century. The front gate tower largely retains its original appearance, and the beams and frames exhibit typical Ming Dynasty style. Architectural elements such as the crescent beams, forked brackets, sparrow braces, and flat trays are exquisitely carved, demonstrating a high level of artistic craftsmanship.

Leshu Hall (Wang Family Ancestral Temple) and Yuezhao Pond form one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Hongcun, known as "Lotus in Moon Pond."

The entire architectural layout of Leshu Hall is in the shape of a "convex" character, measuring 24.40 meters in width, 32.70 meters in depth, and with a ridge height of 10.20 meters. The main hall has seven bays, with a central courtyard, surrounded by corridors at the front, and drum stones beside the entrance. There are 70 pillars in total, constituting a “full-pillar” construction. The four front eave pillars of the main hall are thick and sturdy, shaped like diamond prisms. The golden pillars in the central bay are also spindle-shaped. Both the front eave pillars and corridor pillars feature “column bracket sets,” with “flat bracket sets” between the column head sets, all using double-jump bracket arms. The front eave bracket arms are larger than those on the corridor, with 16 column head sets and 18 flat sets, and the corner bracket work features “small bracket heads.” Where the curved beams meet the pillars, there are “ding-head brackets” providing support, with the bracket eyes resembling single-cloud motifs. The brackets, beams, and spindle pillars are all finely carved.
