Bao Family Garden

Bao Family Garden is situated adjacent to the Tangyue Memorial Archway Complex and is a man-made attraction. The site primarily includes the “Potted Plant Garden” (which consists of the Boutique Garden, Schools of Gardening Garden, and Rock Garden), a large lawn, an entrance plaza, pigeons in the square, a Huizhou Culture Exhibition Hall (displaying genuine works by famous calligraphers and painters, along with the Four Treasures of the Study), a Four Seasons Garden (a plant scenic area featuring a variety of flora for spring, summer, autumn, and winter seasons), a Local Plants Garden (showcasing characteristic plants from the Huangshan region), a Tea Garden Slope, a Pine Forest Slope, a Fish Viewing Pond, a Recreational Lake, a Fishing Lake, an Economic Aquatic Plant Garden (lake), a boat dock, rock and waterfall formations, a potted plant cultivation base, a pottery workshop, a teahouse, and a brewing workshop, among other attractions. Set against the backdrop of a private garden of a Huizhou merchant, and themed around Huizhou-style potted plants, it also showcases the essence of potted plant styles from both China and abroad. Integrated seamlessly with the Memorial Archway Complex Scenic Area, they complement each other to form a complete portrayal of the hometown of Huizhou merchants.

Transportation

Take bus No. 4 from the train station or bus station, with a fare of 2 yuan. Alternatively, you can hire a “farm vehicle taxi” directly from the county town for a one-way trip at 10–15 yuan, or take a motorbike taxi for 3 yuan.
