Phoenix Island on Huangshan
In the Xin’an River, directly opposite ShenDu Port, there is a small island named Phoenix Island because artificial “phoenixes” were placed among the trees. The island features attractions such as a zip line, Phoenix Forest, Phoenix Stage, Phoenix-Perching Tree, and Father-and-Son Worshiping Phoenix Tree, and also includes a Japanese-style homestay resort area.
Hidden among the green foliage is also a farmhouse with white walls and black tiles. It is recommended that you stay at one of the island’s farmsteads to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Xin’an River. These scenic-view rooms are unmatched by any hotel in town.
Located within the ancient town of ShenDu in She County, Huangshan City, Phoenix Island sits in the prime section of the picturesque Xin’an River Scenic Area. Covering an area of over 200 acres, the main island itself has a land area of more than 40 acres, with two inner and outer lakes spanning approximately 60 acres, and an outer sandy beach covering over 100 acres. The Phoenix Island tourist attraction is a scenic area that blends natural and cultural landscapes, combining sightseeing with leisure and vacation. Key activities include an archery range, cockfighting arena, horse fighting arena, water golf, water amusement facilities, a Japanese-style resort area, and the Phoenix Garden.
