Fenyi Wannian Bridge

Fenyi Wannian Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

Wannian Bridge is located on the Yangzhi River outside the north gate of She County’s county town. Built in the first year of the Wanli era during the Ming Dynasty (1573), the bridge was once an important route to Taiping and the provincial capital Anqing. Today, it serves as a key transportation link connecting the old town to the new urban area, as well as the city to the villages in the northern suburbs. The bridge has nine arches, stretches over 150 meters in length, stands 10 meters high, and is 6.7 meters wide. When the bridge was first completed, Wang Daokun, a native of Songmingshan in She County who served as Vice Minister of War in the Ming Dynasty, composed a poem titled "Wannian Bridge." At the original eastern end of the bridge stood a stone memorial archway inscribed with phrases such as “Northern Key and Cloud Dragon” and “Pathway and Ferry,” which were destroyed during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty.

Protected area: 100 meters on the east and west sides south of the bridge, extending to Renmin Road to the north, and 100 meters of water surface on the east and west sides of the bridge.

Construction control zone: 50 meters beyond the protected area in all four directions—east, south, west, and north.
