East Gate Tower
The East Gate Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.
The East Gate Tower is located on Zhonghe Street in the urban area of She County.
Built in the 20th year of the Shaoxing era during the Southern Song Dynasty (1150 AD), it stands to the east of the former government office’s main gate. The tower is 12 meters wide, 10 meters deep, and 13 meters tall, covering a floor area of 120 square meters. It is a two-story pavilion with double eaves, featuring a hip-and-gable roof with upturned corners. The main beams rest on a high platform, beneath which is an arched gateway, with the street passing through underneath. It is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.
