Dasanguan Pavilion in She County

Dasanguan Pavilion in She County is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Commonly known as the "Octagonal Pavilion," Dasanguan Pavilion was built in the 16th year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1537 AD). It is a three-tiered pavilion-style building with multiple eaves. The first and second floors feature an octagonal floor plan with eight-sided upturned eaves, while the third floor transitions to a square shape and is crowned with a hip-and-gable roof. It was renovated in the 22nd year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1633), maintaining its three-tiered pavilion-style structure. The ground and second floors are eight-sided, with each side of the ground floor measuring 3.5 meters, covering a ground area of 64.6 square meters and a built-up area of 59 square meters; the third floor is a voided pavilion with a rectangular floor plan. The overall height is 11.75 meters. The pavilion has entrances on the south and north sides, with a road passing through the middle.
