The Fang Chunfu Residence is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Also known as "Dunmu Hall" or "Duimen Hall," the Fang Chunfu Residence was built during the Longqing era of the Ming Dynasty. It measures 15.85 meters in width and 19.28 meters in depth, covering an area of 305.6 square meters, and is a typical example of Ming Dynasty Huizhou-style architecture. The residence is built with a brick-and-wood structure, featuring three courtyards and five bays across three stories. It includes three skywells and five staircases, and is of a grand scale, classified as an official’s residence. It is said that the owner of this residence was the maternal uncle of Xu Guo, a Grand Secretary of the Ming Dynasty. The walls of the Fang Chunfu Residence are tall on all sides, and the rooms are lit primarily through the skywells. The rear section extends out with two additional rooms in the center, flanked by skywells on both sides — a feature commonly referred to as the "rat’s tail." The ground floor is relatively low, while the upper floors are taller, and each skywell is equipped with features such as flying chairs. Dougong (bracket sets) in the shape of T-shaped beams are installed at beam ends, and the upper parts of partition walls are made of lime-plastered woven reed reinforcement. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

It covers a total area of 41.2 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 300 meters and a highest point at Zhānglǐng Temple reaching 690 meters. The Xin’an River flows through the township, belonging to the Qiantang River system. The area enjoys a mild climate, abundant rainfall, and distinct seasons, with rich natural resources. The annual average temperature is 16 degrees Celsius, annual precipitation averages 1750 mm, and the frost-free period lasts 245 days throughout the year. The soil is mostly yellowish-red, derived from the weathering of phyllite rock.
