Huicheng Town: Huicheng Town is the seat of She County, a renowned historical and cultural city in China. Established in the Qin Dynasty, it has served as the administrative center of a prefecture or state since the Tang Dynasty, historically known as “Huizhou Prefecture.” It is one of the most representative areas of Huizhou culture. In Dou Shan Street and Yuliang Dam, visitors can explore historical relics from the Ming and Qing dynasties, when Huizhou merchants dominated commerce for three to four hundred years. At the Xu Guo Memorial Archway and ancient residences, one can trace the heritage of Huizhou culture—one of China’s three major regional cultures—known as the “sea of cultural relics,” “land of culture,” and “Eastern Zoulu,” as well as the legacy of eminent masters such as Xu Guo and Tao Xingzhi nurtured by the spiritually rich land of ancient Huizhou.
