Maolin Tourist Scenic Area, located in the central part of Anhui’s “Two Mountains and One Lake” golden tourism route, lies within Maolin Town, Jing County, 35 kilometers from the county seat and 50 kilometers from Huangshan Mountain. Provincial Highway 322 runs through the area, providing convenient transportation and well-developed tourist facilities. It is a renowned brand and classic destination on Anhui’s red tourism routes. During the shocking and world-renowned “Southern Anhui Incident,” Maolin served as a major battleground, enduring the fires of war and witnessing the smoke of battle. From the farewell assembly at the Wu Family Ancestral Hall, where Yuan Guoping delivered a passionate speech, to the mournful ballad in Bee Cave, where Xiang Ying tragically lost his life. Gunfire erupted suddenly at Pilin Ridge, revealing the sinister intentions of the reactionary forces, and the attempted breakout at Gaotan failed, leaving the New Fourth Army in escalating peril.
