The Hu Family Earthen Building is located in Caicun Town, Jing County. It dates back to the Republican Era and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

In 2016, the Hu Family Earthen Building was designated as part of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites by the Xuancheng Municipal People’s Government.

Caicun Town: Situated within the renowned tourist triangle area of Huangshan, Jiuhua Mountain, and Taihu Lake, Caicun Town is 15 kilometers from Jing County in Anhui Province and 40 kilometers from Xuancheng City, adjacent to Provincial Road 322. The town covers a total area of 136.36 square kilometers, encompassing 9 administrative villages, 130 villager groups, one residential committee, and a population of over 24,000. With a forest coverage rate of 76.4% and a greening level of over 98%, it is well known as “the picturesque Moon Bay in lush mountains and clear waters, and the golden Caicun with its bamboo sea and fragrant tea.”
