The Former Site of the Soviet Government of the Southern Anhui Special District is a cultural heritage protection unit of Xuancheng City.

The Former Site of the Soviet Government of the Southern Anhui Special District is located in Tingxi Township, Jing County. Dating back to the Republican era, it is classified as a modern-era historical site and representative architecture.

In 2016, the Former Site of the Soviet Government of the Southern Anhui Special District was designated as part of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units by the Xuancheng Municipal People’s Government.

Tingxi Township: Known as the “Hometown of Premium Tea,” Tingxi is a mountainous township in the southeastern part of Jing County, located 19 kilometers from the county seat. The township has a total population of 14,200 and covers an area of 166.47 square kilometers, including over 10,000 mu of cultivated land, 181,000 mu of forested land, and nearly 10,000 mu of tea plantations, with a forest coverage rate of 80%. The township is easily accessible via the Gucao Highway and Baixi Highway, which connect directly to National Highway 205 and Provincial Highway 322. It boasts abundant electricity, water resources, and well-developed communication facilities, making it an ideal destination for investment, business, and tourism.
