Xiling Ancient Village Terraces in Jiande

Xiling Village is a mountain village in Qiantan Town, Jiande City, located in a mountain valley at an altitude of over 400 meters. The terraced fields stretch from the base of the mountain to the top of the ridge, encircling the ancient village. In spring, the overlapping terraces are blanketed with golden rapeseed blossoms, creating a stunningly picturesque scene against the backdrop of traditional houses and centuries-old camphor trees. Especially after rain, when clouds and mist drift around, the verdant peaks rise, wisps of cooking smoke rise gently, and scattered pear and peach blossoms add touches of color, presenting a flawless watercolor painting.

Qiantan Town: Located in the western mountainous region of Zhejiang Province, Qiantan Town lies in the middle section of the Hangzhou–Fuchun River–Xin’an River–Qiandao Lake golden tourist route. It is traversed by the Hangzhou–Qiandao Expressway and National Highway 320, offering convenient water and land transportation. The town has a long history, with ancestors engaging in farming and weaving as early as the Shang and Zhou dynasties. In the sixth year of the Yongzheng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1728), villages and neighborhood associations were established here. In the eighth year of the Republic of China (1919), Qiantan Town was officially founded.
