Glacier Stone Village

The Glacier Stone Village scenic area is a newly developed attraction. It is closely connected to the Tianmu Mountain National Nature Reserve, borders the Volcanic Big Stone Valley to the east, and adjoins the Anji Longwang Mountain Provincial Nature Reserve to the north.

Intro

The three major attractions within the scenic area — the Tianmu Mountain Glacier Stone Village Gully, the Sword Stone Forest, and the Azure Dragon Stream — along with the Nature Resort Center, create a rich and diverse experience.

Glacier Stone Village Gully

A stone waterfall stretching for several kilometers cascades directly down from the mountaintop, with the unique “Zhong” character-shaped waterfall offering a distinctive sight.

Sword Stone Forest

The naturally formed Sword Stone, Seal-Holding Stone, Ascension Stone, Go Stone, and others are truly marvels of nature’s artistry; winding paths and caves such as the Curved Path Cave, Double-Layered Cave, Triple-Linked Cave, and Cave-Beneath-Cave are interconnected like a labyrinth; the Giant Sword Rock: standing dozens of meters high and weighing several tens of thousands of tons, it resembles a mighty sword piercing the sky.

Azure Dragon Stream: Two clear springs split and flow on either side of the dragon’s spine before converging at the dragon’s head to form an unfathomably deep pool. Within the stream, the faint smoke from a few village homes and the occasional crow of a rooster or bark of a dog transport visitors to a paradise untouched by the modern world.

Geologist Li Siguang referred to the Xiguan Stone Village Gully as “a typical example of ancient glacial relics in East China.” There is also an ancient legend that when Emperor Qin Shi Huang toured the south, he left behind his sword on Tianmu Mountain while collecting lingzhi mushrooms, which then transformed into the Sword Stone Forest.
