Western Zhejiang Tian Tan (Western Zhejiang Dalong Bay)

Western Zhejiang Tian Tan (Western Zhejiang Dalong Bay) is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Located in Longgang Town, Lin'an District, on the western outskirts of Hangzhou, within the Qingliang Peak National Nature Reserve at the border of Zhejiang and Anhui, it belongs to the foothills of Huangshan and the Qiantang River system. It is 260 kilometers east of Shanghai and 160 kilometers west of Huangshan, adjacent to the Western Zhejiang Grand Canyon. It is a famous summer resort and is hailed as the most gallery-conscious ecological scenic area in western Zhejiang, as well as the safest driving tourism destination.

Introduction

The vegetation coverage rate in the scenic area exceeds 95%, with layers of greenery stretching as far as the eye can see, and all walking trails extending through this lush green.

The scenic area features waterfall clusters, peculiar peaks and strange rocks, deep gorges and quiet valleys, sheer cliffs with terraced fields, mirror-like lakes and rushing streams. There are also ancient temple ruins dating back a thousand years, a British holiday resort from the Anti-Japanese War period, the unsolved mystery of the "Sky-Stealing Cave," ancient Huizhou stone bridges, and cliffside stilted houses. As the iconic landscape, the kilometer-long Tian Tan (Heavenly Beach) is truly unique in East China.

Little Huangshan is a small mountain peak. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice it resembles the human form, looking like a foreigner with a high nose bridge.

Dragon Pool consists of the Dragon Pool and Dragon Pool Waterfall. The Dragon Pool Waterfall has a drop of 21 meters, making it the waterfall with the greatest water flow in the entire scenic area. When sunlight directly hits the waterfall, a beautiful rainbow can be seen, which is why it's also called the Rainbow Waterfall.

The Tian Tan Spectacular is the most distinctive part of the scenic area. Here, you can swim or even walk barefoot on the Tian Tan. Pulling a thick towline across the rocky beach and heading upstream against the current is both fun and thrilling.

Tourist Route: Starting from the entrance, you will pass through small scenic spots in sequence including Little Huangshan, Aoyu Spitting Jade, Three Maidens Waterfall, Golden Ox Sunset, One-Finger Holding Up the Sky, Dragon Pool Treasure Hunt, Watermill Ruins, Jade Pool, Heavenly River Bathing Beach, Fairy Pool, and Heavenly River Source. The Tian Tan scenic area is water-themed and offers a variety of water activities such as swimming, bamboo rafting, and water swings.
