The Zhexi Grand Canyon in Lin’an has long been a well-known scenic area, and the Qianqingtang Reservoir on its Qianqingshan Mountain is referred to as the “Zhexi Tianchi” (Zhexi Sky Lake). In recent years, an entrepreneur has developed a new tourist route called “Tianlong Canyon” in Zhelin Village near the Zhexi Grand Canyon. This route allows travelers to hike upstream along the stream directly to the entrance of the Tianchi Scenic Area, covering a journey of about 6 kilometers. Unfortunately, due to insufficient follow-up funding, only half of the Tianlong Scenic Area has been developed. However, the paths and bridges are all in place, making it a newly popular hiking destination among local outdoor enthusiasts. The Tianlong Canyon boasts fresh air and pleasant scenery, with undeveloped attractions that make it an ideal spot for leisure travel. Activities here include stream trekking and hiking, with suitable difficulty and intensity levels and excellent playability. Walking along the main ancient trail, primarily paved with bluestone slabs, brings a refreshing sense of ease. The entire trail is dominated by shades of green, and during the vibrant spring season, you may occasionally come across unnamed wildflowers bursting with colorful blooms. Stone bridges appear frequently along the way—no one’s counted them exactly, but there are roughly 30. That classic Jiangnan charm of small bridges over flowing streams, surrounded by green mountains and clear waters, can only be fully appreciated and deeply felt through hiking. When you feel warm, simply jump into a pool and do a big somersault to enjoy the coolness of the stream water.
