Haihe River Strip Park

Located in the northeastern part of Hexi District, on the west bank of the Haihe River. It is an important component of the city's Haihe River Park. Stretching from Xuzhou Road in the northwest to Liuzhuang Cable-Stayed Bridge in the southeast, it lies along the east bank of the Haihe River and borders Taierzhuang Road to the west. Shaped like a strip, it is 1.56 kilometers long and covers an area of 35,000 square meters. The park has planted over 7,530 trees, shrubs, vines, fruit trees, and flowers, including pines, spruces, ginkgos, beautyberries, red-leaf plum, ivy, hawthorn, and roses. It also includes 15,000 square meters of turf, 47 flower stands, and 8 landscape structures such as fountains, trellises, and pavilions. There are 7,000 square meters of paved paths made of flagstone, flower bricks, and pebbles. Construction began in September 1982 and the park was completed and opened to the public in May 1983. It was named after its autumn-themed landscaping design.
