A small two-story building with white walls and gray tiles stands out prominently amidst the greenery. Stepping into the small courtyard, you’re greeted by blooming flowers in vibrant colors. This is the Li Family Memorial Hall. As you enter the exhibition room, a large red “Li” character immediately catches your eye, telling us that this memorial hall showcases over 180 years of the Li family’s remarkable history. The memorial hall has two floors, with a total construction area of 600 square meters. It primarily uses text, photography, painting, relief sculpture, bronze statues, videos, and virtual scenes to vividly present the stories of generations of outstanding figures from the Li family.

The Xiaogang Li family of Beilun is one of the earliest, wealthiest, most influential, and longest-lasting families among the “Ningbo Businessmen.” The Xiaogang Li family rose to prominence during the Qing Dynasty’s Daoguang era and has a history of over 180 years, spanning seven generations. It has produced not only a number of business leaders and industrial magnates but also a large number of successful individuals in various professional fields. The Li family’s century-long development is a microcosm of the fate of Ningbo’s prominent families in the last century, and it also highlights the important role the “Ningbo Businessmen” played in modern history.

Qijiashan Subdistrict: Qijiashan Subdistrict is located in the northwest corner of Beilun District, Ningbo City, and is named after the national hero Qi Jiguang, who fought against Japanese pirates here. The subdistrict covers a land area of 18.6 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 13,000 and nearly 40,000 registered migrant residents. It was approved for establishment by the Ningbo Municipal People’s Government in November 2006 and officially inaugurated on March 16, 2007.
