Tianhe Scenic Area (East Zhejiang Grand Canyon) is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Tianhe Ecological Scenic Area originates from the northern foothills of Huading Mountain in Tiantai and is located in the middle section of the Tiantai Mountain Range.

The Tianhe Ecological Scenic Area boasts beautiful scenery and has been a popular destination for literati and artists since ancient times.

In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Laozi descended to bestow the Lingbao Scripture upon Ge Xuan. Ge Hong secluded himself in the Songxi Cave Heaven to refine elixirs and wrote "Baopuzi," pioneering the study of Taoism.

The Tianhe Scenic Area covers a total area of 260 square kilometers and consists of nearly 100 scenic spots. Currently, three areas have been developed: the Dashongxi Gorge, Shuangfeng Forest Park, and the water tour area. The Dashongxi Gorge is serene and elongated, with bizarre peaks and rocks, cascading waterfalls, and turbulent streams, earning it the title of "The Number One Grand Canyon of East Zhejiang." The 20-kilometer-long gorge features nine twists and eighteen turns, with a vertical drop of over 900 meters. The bottom of the gorge is lined with piled-up rocks by the stream, the largest of which is over 100 cubic meters and weighs more than a thousand tons. Among them, Huangban Beach, Jade Pool, Seven-Colored Pool, and Moon Valley are the most captivating spots in the grand canyon.

Shuangfeng Forest Park, which boasts over 10,000 acres of natural evergreen broadleaf forest, is densely wooded with excellent air quality. Being there instantly refreshes the mind and relieves stress.

Transportation:

1. Ningbo Tourism Distribution Center departs daily at 08:05, going directly to the scenic area, and returns around 15:00 in the afternoon. Round-trip fare and entrance ticket cost only 120 RMB per person.

2. Take a bus from Ningbo South Bus Station to Ninghai Central Station (fare: 23 RMB). Upon arrival at Ninghai Central Station, take bus 108 (fare: 1 RMB) or a taxi (fare: 5 RMB) to the West Bus Station, then transfer to the Ninghai-Baixi minibus (fare: 7 RMB) to reach the scenic area directly.

3. Self-driving route

Take the Yongtaiwen Expressway and exit at Ninghai South (formerly Chalu Exit). There are very clear signs; turn left and follow the stream to reach the scenic area, approximately 9 kilometers away.
