Ninghai News Network (Reporter Pan Xuting) — After two days of intense competition, the Ninghai leg of the national rock climbing competition concluded successfully on May 12. Pan Xuhua from Jiangxi Vocational College of Applied Technology won both the women’s bouldering and speed climbing events, while Wang Qinghua from the KAILAS Climbing Team claimed the men’s bouldering title, and Zhong Lincai from Beijing Mountain Beauty Sports Culture Co., Ltd. took the men’s speed climbing championship.
The Ninghai leg of the national rock climbing competition is the first stop of this year’s series. Forty-seven of the country’s top climbers showcased their skills in what has been described as “rock wall ballet” in Huchen Township. According to organizers, the competition featured two disciplines: bouldering and speed climbing. Among the events, bouldering was widely regarded as the most visually captivating, requiring athletes to scale boulders no higher than five meters without ropes, relying solely on their own strength without external aids.
