The Yan Cang Scenic Area is located on the eastern foothills of the Tiantai Mountain Range, nestled among the three towns of Meilin, Shenzhen, and Xidian in Ninghai County. It covers an area of approximately five square kilometers, situated 18 kilometers from the county seat, 11 kilometers from the Nanxi Hot Spring Resort, 64 kilometers from Ningbo Airport, and 75 kilometers from downtown Ningbo.

Yan Cang Mountain is regarded as one of the six auspicious "Luohan Lands" in Ninghai. From Meilin on the Yonglin Highway, turn onto the Xixi Provincial Road heading west for seven kilometers to reach Liucun Village at the foot of Yan Cang Mountain. The first sight to greet you is a picturesque scene composed of flat bridges, clear waters, slanting poplars, swimming fish, and ginkgo trees…, presenting the simple and harmonious charm of a mountain village nestled by the hills and streams.

The Yan Cang Mountain area is divided into several sections: the entrance, Yanmen Ancient Path, Yan Cang Valley, and Jiulong Stream. Yan Cang Valley features five peaks — Tianguan, Yuping, Bai Di, Xianglu, and Guan Hai — which encircle a hundred-acre secluded valley shaped like a wild goose’s nest. Lush bamboo forests thrive here year-round, and the area is dotted with caves and massive cliffs. It often serves as a winter habitat for wild geese.
