Hongji Bridge

Hongji Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Ninghai County.

Hongji Bridge is located in front of Nangong Temple and was built in the 17th year of the Jiaqing reign. The bridge features a unique design as a single-arch ribbed arch bridge with tie beams. It is the first of its kind discovered in Ningbo City. At both ends of the two central crossbeams, there are exquisitely crafted stone-carved dragon heads protruding, each with two heads. This bridge provides a unique and singular example for the study of ancient bridge history in our county.
