Ninghai Shiping Mountain
Shiping Mountain is located on the east side of Datong River in Xidian Town, Beixiang, Ninghai City, Zhejiang Province. Part of the Qilian Mountain range, it features overlapping rocky cliffs and a majestic, precipitous landscape. Stretching 2.2 kilometers from east to west, its main peak stands at an elevation of 668.1 meters, with a relative height difference of 204 meters from the surface of Wuyang River. The northern face of the mountain, which overlooks the town, resembles a giant screen standing amidst the hills. The cliffs and sheer rock faces rise a thousand feet high, “straight, vast, and screen-like” — hence the name.
