Guifaxiang 18th Street Twist Cultural Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

The 18th Street Twist Cultural Museum is located at No. 32 Dongting Road, Hexi District, Tianjin. It is the first national cultural museum themed around twists, built and invested in by Tianjin Guifaxiang 18th Street Twist Food Co., Ltd. The museum aims to promote traditional Chinese food culture and preserve the heritage of Tianjin’s time-honored brands, showcasing the legendary journey of the twist from its inception and flourishing to its establishment as the king of traditional Chinese cuisine. Covering an area of 4,200 square meters, the exhibition includes three main sections: the exhibition display area, the demonstration production workshop, and the flagship store, offering a cultural feast that engages the senses and transcends the spiritual. It not only presents the century-long legendary history of the 18th Street Twist but also highlights the company’s development journey of “upholding a century-old foundation while pursuing innovation and excellence.”

The First of Its Kind – The 18th Street Twist Cultural Museum is the first and only museum in China themed around twists. From being a substitute food during the Cold Food Festival, to being the favored snack "Ju Sheng Nu" of Yang Guifei, to becoming a treasured delicacy at the banquets of late Qing dynasty officials, the exhibit displays the evolution of the twist.

Tianjin’s Finest – Known as “Tianjin’s Finest,” the 18th Street Twist has been praised by many food connoisseurs as a “hand-twisted work of art” due to its “remarkable color, fragrance, taste, shape, and quality.” This perfectly aligns with the traditional Chinese food culture philosophy that values the harmony of “color, aroma, taste, form, and spirit.”

Time-Honored Craftsmanship – The making of the 18th Street Twist preserves the essence of traditional craftsmanship, with each process rigorous and closely interconnected. It is the result of a hundred years of meticulous refinement—unique and irreplicable. Here, the founder Liu Laobay’s dedicated development process is presented through a blend of artistic expression and modern digital imagery.

A Century of Change – The museum unfolds a century of Tianjin’s history through three-dimensional hand-painted murals, vividly presenting the era that gave birth to, nurtured, and developed the 18th Street Twist.
